Empowering Women in Rural Indonesia:

Togean Naturale is a remarkable Women Empowerment projectled by sustainability activist Sihkami Denting  operating in remote Indonesian villages. This initiative trains local Baha’i women to create natural products using ingredients sourced from their community farms. With a focus on empowering women in Bali, Sulawesi, and Papua, this project originated in the Togean Islands of Sulawesi.

With an eco-factory on a remote island in Sulawesi, powered by solar panels and rainwater catchment, forest-based products are created by women trained in different villages, using ingredients mostly planted by local farmers.

Togean Naturale's vision extends beyond Togean Islands, working with women in Papua, Bali, and Java to create sustainable businesses that prioritize people and the environment.

The ultimate goal is to create a sustainable model for economic growth benefiting everyone.
